Measure arm to arm. Run a tape across the front of your sofa, from the outer edge of one armrest to the outer edge of the other, at the widest point. That single number gives you your size.
Between two sizes? Go up. A stretch cover that is slightly generous tucks away neatly. One that is too small will not close.
