Care
Keeping your covers like new.
Your Covaba covers are made to be lived with — washed, refreshed, and slipped back on without ceremony. A little care keeps the color deep, the stretch true, and the soft-touch finish exactly as you remember it.

Washing & Drying.
Temperatures, the gentle cycle, drying without losing shape, and how to refit a stretch cover so it sits like new.
How do I machine wash my covers?
Machine wash cold — up to 30°C / 86°F — on a gentle cycle.
- Close all zippers and fasteners, and turn the covers inside out first.
- Wash with like colors, using a mild detergent.
- Wash separately for the first cycle or two, while the color settles.
- Skip fabric softener — it can coat the soft-touch fibers and dull the finish.
How should I dry them?
- Air dry flat or on a line, away from direct heat and strong sun.
- If you tumble dry, use low heat and take them out while still slightly damp.
- Reshape and smooth by hand while damp — this keeps the stretch even.
How do I refit a stretch cover after washing?
Stretch covers sit best when refitted while still slightly damp. Pull evenly from corner to corner, smooth across the seat, and tuck the surplus into the gaps between the cushions and frame for a clean, second-skin finish. They settle fully as they finish drying in place.
Do I need to iron or steam?
- Most covers relax on their own once refitted, so ironing is rarely needed.
- For a crisper look, use a cool iron inside out, or hold a handheld steamer a little away from the fabric.

Everyday & Stains.
Keeping covers fresh day to day, spot-cleaning spills, and the few things best avoided.
How do I keep covers looking good day to day?
- Smooth and shake out your covers now and then so they keep sitting cleanly.
- Rotate seat and back covers occasionally so they wear evenly.
- Deal with spills early — blot gently, never rub.
How do I spot-clean a spill or mark?
- Blot spills with a clean, damp cloth, working from the outside in.
- For marks, use a little mild soap in lukewarm water, then blot clean.
- Always test on a hidden area first, and let the spot dry fully before refitting.
Is there anything I should avoid?
- No bleach or harsh stain removers — they can lift the color.
- No wringing or twisting — press the water out gently instead.
- No dry cleaning, unless your care label says otherwise.
- Keep covers away from direct, prolonged heat such as radiators or hot dryers.
Section · Fabric
Care by Fabric.
A note on each finish in the range — soft-touch microfibre, jacquard, knit and velvet-touch.
Soft-touch microfibre
Cold gentle wash, air dry, reshape while damp. The brushed, matte surface stays soft when you skip the softener and high heat.
Jacquard weave
Wash inside out to protect the raised pattern, and air dry to keep the texture defined.
Knit
Wash cool and dry flat where you can — knits prefer to be reshaped rather than hung heavy while wet.
Velvet-touch
Wash inside out, low or no heat, and brush the pile back to life with your hand once dry.

How to put covers away between seasons so they come back out fresh.
How should I store covers between seasons?
Store covers clean and completely dry, folded loosely in a breathable bag or drawer. Avoid sealed plastic for long stretches, so the fabric can breathe between seasons. A quick wash before you put them away keeps them fresh for next time.
Looked after simply, your covers keep doing what they were made for — letting the room you already love feel new again, as often as you like.
